Posted by Juliet Eysenck on Sep 25, 08 04:56 PM in People

A blaze broke out at a Bayswater house this morning.

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to the fire at a house in Chilworth Mews at around 9.30am.

The fire, which was brought under control by 10.15am, is believed to have started on the ground floor.

Two women, suffering from severe smoke inhalation, were helped out of a first floor window by firefighters using a ladder.

Crews from Paddington, Kensington and North Kensington fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
