Delays to tube journeys

Tube journeys could be delayed by engineering works after New Year.

London Underground has planned to close sections of the underground, overground and DLR on the weekend Saturday, January 3 to Sunday, January 4, 2009.

On this weekend, the Hammersmith and City Line with be partly suspended between Edgware Road and Barking all weekend.

The Jubilee Line will be partly suspended all weekend, between Green Park and Stratford, and the Metropolitan Line will be closed between Baker Street and Aldgate all weekend.

Two replacement bus services will operate:
Service A: Bank - Monument - London Bridge - Bermondsey - Canada Water
Service B: North Greenwich - Canning Town - West Ham - Stratford

Transport for London is advising passengers to check before travelling through the website www.tfl.gov.uk/tubeworks or by calling 020 7222 1234.
