A post office in St John's Wood has been shortlisted for an award.

The branch in Circus Road was nominated for the honour of Best Crown Post Office in the South East and East region in the 2009 People's Post Office Awards.

A councillor has urged motorbikers to act responsibly during a protest planned for next Tuesday.

Vicky Millar, 43, of no fixed address, was killed after a collision with a skip lorry at the junction of Marylebone Road and Old Marylebone Road, last Monday at around 4.15pm.

A skip lorry collided with the woman, believed to be 44 and from the Marylebone area, on Marylebone Road at the junction with Old Marylebone Road, on Monday at around 4.15pm.

Marathon runners chosen

Trials were held for young people aged 11 to 17 at Paddington Recreation Ground, in Grantully Road, Maida Vale, last Sunday.
