Face painting, an art competition and market stalls will be on offer at a spring festival to be held in Bayswater.

The Connaught Village Festival, on May 14, takes place on Connaught Street, Kendal Street and Porchester Place from 4pm to 9pm.

Former motor racing driver and presenter of Channel 5's Fifth Gear motoring programme Tiff Needell has also been confirmed as a celebrity guest for the event.

Rob Lines of the Church Commissioners, which owns the land of Connaught Village, said: "We are delighted to have Tiff Needell joining us for this year's Spring Festival.

"It is a perfect relaxed afternoon out for local residents, families and visitors to see some fantastic cars, entertain the children, browse in the shops or enjoy a bite to eat in one of the Village's exciting cafes and restaurants.

"The special thing about the festival is the intimate, community atmosphere it creates right in the centre of our busy capital city."
