Flat fire in North Paddington
Firefighters were called to a fire in a flat in North Paddington in the early hours of today.
They rescued a woman from the first floor of the flat, in Shirland Road.
She was suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Around half of the six-roomed flat was damaged by the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 2.28am and the fire was under control by 3.32am.
Firefighters from Kensington, North Kensington and Paddington fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
