Families in Westminster are being invited to a number of events across the city next week.

To mark the UK's first ever Family Week (Monday May 25th to Friday May 29th), the Abbey Community Centre, in Great Smith Street, Pimlico; the Beethoven Centre, in Third Avenue, Queen's Park, and the Greenside Community Centre, in Lilestone Street, Lisson Grove, are hosting a number of activities.

Parents will be given information and advice on how to access job training and to claim tax credits while children will be able to enjoy free fitness sessions, face painting and storytelling sessions.

On Wednesday May 27, Westminster Council is also holding several storytelling sessions at different libraries across the city.

Other activities also include family a 'May Picnic in the Park' on May 27 and an under-8s football session on May 29 organised by the Rainbow Family Centre.

Council staff will also be on hand to give advice and information on childcare, and sports and arts provision in the city that families can take advantage of.
