Descriptions of suspected St John's Wood gunmen released

The first descriptions of two men suspected of carrying out a shooting in St John's Wood last week have been revealed.

A 31-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy suffered gunshot wounds when the pair opened fire at Harry Morgan restaurant, in St John's Wood High Street, at around 9.10pm last Friday.

The victims are still recovering in hospital, but are in stable conditions.

At the time of the shooting, the man was in the deli part of the restaurant buying take away food, while the boy was in the main restaurant eating a meal with his family.

One attacker entered the deli and opened fire, pursuing the 31-year-old victim through the main restaurant as he fled.

A second gunman remained outside the restaurant on the street, firing through the restaurant window.

The two men are both described as being of slim build and both wore dark coloured clothing.

The first attacker wore a long-sleeved hooded top, with a covering masking his face up to his eyes.

He is described as being between 5ft7ins and 6ft tall.

The second gunman wore a crash helmet believed to be in a silver-grey colour, with the visor down, as is described as being slightly shorter than the first man.

Both are thought to be in the early 20s.

The duo fled in the direction of Wellington Place, after which they may have got into a dark-coloured car in Cochrane Street.

Acting DCI Sally Jeffrey said: "We really want to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of Harry Morgan's restaurant at around 9pm on the night in questions, Friday June 26.

"If you saw anything or know anything about this incident, please give us a call."

No arrests have been made to date and police are keeping an open mind as to the motive.

Anyone with information can call the incident room on 020 8733 4774, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

We'd like to hear from you.
