Dance away the afternoon in North Paddington

Posted by Juliet Eysenck on Aug 18, 09 11:43 AM in What's On

Take a trip down memory lane with a 1940s tea dance in North Paddington this afternoon.

Classic tunes will be played at the first pensioners' tea dance to be held at Maida Hill Market, at the junction of Harrow Road and Fernhead Road, from 2pm to 5pm.

Music will be provided by West End singer Myra Sands, who is currently starring in Oliver!, accompanied by pianist Steve Eades.

Pianist and singer Bob Holloway will also perform a repertoire ranging from Noel Coward to George Gershwin, with British and American war time classics thrown in.

The event is organised by the Harrow Road Neighbourhood Partnership.

We'd like to hear from you.
