Posted by Juliet Eysenck on Nov 19, 09 11:31 AM in People

Around 50 people were evacuated when a fire broke out at a Marylebone hotel this morning.

A small part of the basement of the four-storey hotel in Manchester Street was damaged by the fire.

The fire brigade was called at 7.45am and the blaze was under control by 9.20am.

Firefighters from Soho and Paddington were at the scene, and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
