Christmas lights come to North Paddington

Posted by Juliet Eysenck on Dec 3, 09 04:49 PM in What's On

Christmas lights will be switched on in North Paddington at the weekend.

On Saturday, the festive entertainment starts at the Maida Hill Market, at the junction of Harrow Road and Fernhead Road, at 2pm.

A family arts and crafts workshop will run from 2pm to 3.30pm, run by Westminster Family Learning.

From 3.30pm, Santa will be handing out gifts to the kids, goody bags for adults and carols will be sung by local choir groups.

From 4pm to 4.15pm, Westminster mayor Cllr Duncan Sandys will say a few words before revealing the market's festive decorations.

Special guests include Karen Buck, MP for Regent's Park and Kensington North constituency, ward councillors Ruth Bush and Guthrie McKie and TV news presenter Faisal Islam.

The event is organised by Harrow Road Neighbourhood Partnership.

We'd like to hear from you.
