Prize for 1,000th Paddington walker

Posted by Juliet Eysenck on Dec 17, 09 09:44 AM in Clubs/societies

A prize is on offer for the 1,000th person to talk part in a series of guided walks around Paddington.

Walking tours of the Paddington area have been taking place throughout the year, organised by Paddington Waterside Partnership and Paddington BID.

As they are close to registering the 1,000 walker, the organisations are offering free cinema tickets for a party of four to any Odeon cinema plus free Heathrow Express tickets.

To stand a chance of winning, walkers will need to register on the final free walk of the year which takes place on Friday, December 18.

The walk, entitled Whiteleys - the man and the shop, will uncover how linens and lace made William Whiteley into a 19th Century entrepreneur.

To register, call 0203 145 1200, email walks@inpaddington.com or register online at the Walks section of www.inpaddington.com.

The walk leavers from the statue of Brunel, on platform one of Paddington station, at 12.30pm.

We'd like to hear from you.
